Another Impact Wrestling Contract Expiring Soon

In recent weeks, it’s been reported that Heath Slater and Deonna Purrazzo’s Impact Wrestling contracts are approaching expiry, with it just revealed that PCO has given the company his notice. Therefore, it appears that Impact’s roster is currently in a state of flux, and now, adding to that, Fightful Select has reported that Sami Callihan will also be a free agent at the end of September. However, it is noted that both sides are believed to be interested in him potentially re-signing.

“Fightful Select has learned that former IMPACT World Champion Sami Callihan’s IMPACT contract is up in just under a week, at the end of September. Callihan has been with IMPACT Wrestling since 2017, and there is believed to be interest from both sides on possibly re-signing. However, sources close to the situation say that Callihan is able to speak with other wrestling companies.”

36-year-old Callihan has been with Impact Wrestling since 2017, with arguably his most memorable run in the company coming in 2019 when he had a lengthy feud with Tessa Blanchard, which involved the Impact World Championship. Additionally, he was featured in Impact Wrestling’s working relationship with AEW when he worked a high-profile singles match with Kenny Omega at Slammiversary 2021.
