Sheamus is typically one of WWE’s most frequently featured stars and, despite being in his mid-40s, still regularly puts on match-of-the-night contenders. However, he hasn’t wrestled since the August 18th episode of SmackDown, where he faced Edge. And it has now been reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio that the reason for this is because he is recuperating from a “really bad shoulder injury.“
“By the way, Sheamus, really bad shoulder injury. That’s why he has not been on TV or at house shows.”
Dave MeltzerSheamus has been with WWE since 2007, but his long-term future with the company is currently up in the air, with it recently revealed that his contract is set to expire at the beginning of 2024. Although as he is currently sidelined, the company can choose to add the time he is currently missing to the end of his current deal, therefore extending his time with the company.
