Tony Khan Provides Injury Update On Adam Cole

AEW’s Adam Cole is sidelined after breaking his ankle in three places when he jumped off the entrance ramp while coming to MJF’s aid last September. Yet despite this, he remained heavily featured leading up to it being revealed he was The Devil at World’s End.

However, since then, his television time has been reduced, with it is known that the constant travel was hindering his recovery. And now, while speaking to CBS Sports, AEW’s head honcho Tony Khan has provided an update on Cole, revealing he still isn’t 100% but is working hard on his rehab.

“He’s not 100% but he’s getting better and better, I think that’s great news for AEW. We love Adam Cole and the fans love Adam Cole. He’s been a big part of the company now for almost three years of our five-year journey. It’s crazy to think Adam Cole, a year ago at this time, really felt like he was getting towards the top of the wrestling world. I would love to get Adam Cole back in the ring and he works so hard on his rehab. He really wants to get back in the ring.”

34-year-old Cole hasn’t had the best fortune with injuries since joining AEW, as in addition to his severely broken ankle, he previously missed nine months from the ring after suffering a career-threatening concussion at Forbidden Door in 2022. Still, he bravely battled back from this huge setback, proving his resiliency, and there is no reason to believe he won’t be able to make another such comeback, with fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter of his story with the also currently injured MJF.
