Lexis King is the lookalike son of legendary WCW and WWE wrestler Brian Pillman, and he is currently keeping his father’s legacy alive via NXT, with many predicting big things on the main roster. And now, acknowledging his sadly deceased dad on Father’s Day, the second-generation wrestler has taken to X to pay tribute, emotionally saying, “Since day one, it’s always been my goal to keep your name.“
King’s father, Brian Pillman, died aged just 35 on October 5, 1997, which was the same day he was meant to wrestle Dude Love at WWE’s Badd Blood pay-per-view. Officially, his cause of death was coronary artery disease, although the medical examiner also found traces of cocaine in his body, with it known he was using human growth hormones as well as taking painkillers to help him continue wrestling while hurt.
