Nearly three decades after Hayes guided the rising Hardy Boyz in WWE, the trio posed again on July 25, 2026, with Matt and Jeff proudly holding championship belts. Matt celebrated the special moment by affectionately calling Hayes their “Rasslin’ Daddy” and noting that it had been 27 years since the original shot. The heartfelt reunion offered fans a warm, nostalgic glimpse of the enduring bond between all three men.
Michael “P.S.” Hayes debuted in 1977 and quickly became the charismatic leader of the Fabulous Freebirds alongside Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts. The innovative trio pioneered the Freebird Rule and starred in a legendary feud against the Von Erichs in World Class Championship Wrestling. After capturing numerous titles across territories and WCW, Hayes retired from full-time in-ring competition in the mid-1990s. From there, he joined WWE as the colorful announcer Dok Hendrix, briefly managed the Hardy Boyz, and has spent years as a respected producer and part of the booking team.
