After “Speedball” Mike Bailey was spotted backstage at an AEW television taping last year, speculation commenced that it was only a matter of time before he was All Elite. Therefore, very few were surprised when a video aired during the February 22 episode of Collision teasing the former TNA wrestler signing. And now, having officially made his in-ring debut for the company against The Beast Mortos during this week’s Dynamite, he has taken to X to say “LFG,” indicating he is ready to fulfill his potential.

34-year-old Bailey, real name Émile Baillargeon-Laberge, has a wrestling journey that is a testament to his resilience because after spending a decade making his name on the indies, he suffered a severe setback in 2016 by being banned from the United States for five years. This was because he was caught trying to get into the country without the proper paperwork, instantly ending his CZW and PWG runs. Still, he didn’t let this discourage him from following his dream, and instead, he focused on wrestling in Europe and Japan, with DDT Pro and RevPro becoming his new home promotions.
