Kevin Owens has shared an emotional social media post while WWE’s Clash in Italy event was airing, admitting he misses wrestling. After undergoing neck fusion surgery ahead of WrestleMania 41, the Canadian wrestler has now endured nearly nine months of painful recovery and frustrating absence from the squared circle he loves. Though sidelined, Owens remains incredibly popular and continues to stay involved with WWE through promotional appearances and mentoring.
Originally booked to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41, Owens revealed on SmackDown in early April 2025 that the neck issue he was dealing with, which stemmed from a January match, required surgery. And while he successfully underwent neck fusion in July 2025, as of late May 2026, he remains sidelined from the ring with no return date in sight. However, this may not be a cause for concern, as WWE is likely taking a cautious approach regarding medical clearance to protect its long-term health.
