Ric Flair Walks Back His Legal Threat Against Estranged Son David

Ric Flair withdrew his previous legal threat against his son, David, on Saturday amid a trademark dispute battle over the iconic wrestling family name. In a now-deleted tweet, the legendary Nature Boy made it clear that he is not pursuing any lawsuit against his son, despite previously suggesting he would, after becoming aware that his son was launching a new recycling company called “Green Flair.” Still, he issued a stern warning, cautioning David against profiting from the Flair brand while they remain estranged.

I’m Obviously Not Suing My Son. Just Reminding Him That You Can’t Have The Best Of Both Worlds! Use Your God Given Name, Fliehr, Which Isn’t Worth A Cup Of Coffee. Or Your Wife’s Name, Who Has Had 3 Generations Of Success. Also, Please Don’t Sell My Robes That I Let You Use During Your Career As You Have Already Sold One. You’re 47 Years Old… Now Stand On Your Own Two Feet Please.Ric Flair

Born David Richard Fliehr on March 6, 1979, Flair’s firstborn son entered the wrestling world with WCW two decades later. Despite having limited formal training, he quickly captured the WCW United States Championship and World Tag Team titles with partner Crowbar. However, after failing to impress in WWE’s developmental system, he eventually retired in 2009 at age 30. Today, he leads a quiet life in North Carolina with his wife, Robin Haskell, and their two children, focused on running their family-owned recycling business.
