Sammy Guevara Seemingly Acknowledges His AEW Suspension During His Latest Vlog

Sammy Guevara is currently suspended by AEW due to not following concussion protocol during a recent match with Jeff Hardy. For those unaware, Hardy suffered a broken nose during their bout, which was being taped for Rampage after Guevara accidentally landed on his face during a shooting star press. Yet, despite being told to pin Hardy, Guevara hit his GTH finishing move instead. And now, during his latest YouTube vlog, Guevara has seemingly acknowledged his suspension via an on-screen message.

“I understand that I am a person who has made mistakes but I am also a person who has tried to be better. ‘Roll with the punches’ is a saying that I truly understand now at 30 years old. Life will throw a lot at you. But it’s how you deal with those adversities that make you who you are. I know who I am and I know what I’m going after.”

It is believed that Hardy thankfully didn’t actually suffer a concussion following the scary collision, but as Guevara didn’t know this at the time, he was suspended for ignoring safety instructions. And in fact, this is now the second time the AEW original has been suspended by the company, with him previously being sidelined for 30 days after unacceptable comments he made about Mercedes Moné went viral.
