After it was reported that Erick Rowan was canceling his upcoming indie bookings due to “new contractual obligations,” most assumed he was WWE-bound. Subsequently, it was reported to PWInsider.com that was the case, and he would be part of Uncle Howdy’s new stable alongside Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross. And now seemingly indicating he is preparing for his return to television, the news source has noted he has been spotted at the WWE Performance Center.
“Erik Rowan has been down in Orlando at the WWE Performance Center this week, PWInsider.com has learned.”
PWInsider.comSince being released by WWE in 2020 due to budget cuts, 42-year-old Rowan has been using the name Erick Redbeard and has become a regular on the independent circuit, capitalizing on his former WWE fame. Additionally, he made a handful of appearances for AEW, although despite being very well-received by fans at the time, he surprisingly never managed to attain a full-time contract with Tony Khan’s promotion.
