Prior to the latest episode of RVD TV, Rob Van Dam had teased on social media that a huge announcement was forthcoming. Subsequently, fans began to speculate on what this could be, with a return to the ring for WWE or even signing a full-time contract with AEW or TNA mentioned.
However, the announcement was far more personal, as the ECW originally announced that while he is still coming to terms with losing his best friend, Sabu, he is set to become a father as his wife, Katie Forbes, is pregnant and is due to give birth next year.
54-year-old Van Dam, real name Robert Szatkowski, tied the knot for the first time in 1998 to Sonia Delbeck, and they would be together for almost two decades. Yet, at some point, the pair agreed the marriage wasn’t working, and they would officially divorce. Still, Van Dam would go on to find love again with fellow wrestler Katie Forbes, and the pair have been inseparable since marrying in 2021.
