WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg has voiced strong support for Dexter Lumis on social media after the former Superstar won a recent bodybuilding contest. Praising him as the ideal talent, the New Age Outlaw highlighted Lumis’ standout NXT moments, including an unforgettable on-screen wedding and his memorable match against Cameron Grimes at Halloween Havoc. Road Dogg questioned why WWE offered such a unique performer no meaningful opportunities following his release earlier this year, emphasizing the wasted potential of a star many still believe could thrive with the right creative push.
“The right person. The right talent. Best Dexter ever! The @WWENXT wedding? Zombie match? C’mon man, and yall got nothing for him @WWE.” – Road Dogg
Samuel Robert Shaw, better known as Dexter Lumis, debuted in 2007 on the independent circuit before gaining attention in TNA as the unsettling Samuel Shaw. His career really took off in 2019 when he signed with WWE and became the silent, artistic stalker Dexter Lumis in NXT. Although he was released in 2022, he quickly returned, joined the Wyatt Sicks as Mercy the Buzzard, captured the WWE Tag Team Championship with Joe Gacy, and remained a unique presence until his second release in April 2026.
