MASADA Addresses His Disastrous Match With Jinder Mahal

Typically, when an indie wrestler gets to work with someone who has been a world champion, it is considered a career highlight. However, that wasn’t the case when MASADA wrestled Jinder Mahal on May 31 for Battleground Championships Wrestling, with the former WWE Champion walking out during the match.

And now, MASADA has taken to his personal Facebook page to address the disappointing bout, revealing Mahal’s attorney put last-minute rules into place before the match, seemingly ruining what was planned.

Giving my thoughts on this one, in 26 years I’ve never had someone just straight up walk out on a match. Never had another wrestler give the promotion shit the last second with rules written down on paper by some half ass attorney wanting 3 refs, no chairs, no blood and NO SKEWERS! … Jinder Mahal former WWE Champion, I respect that but like I said before this isn’t New York.MASADA

For those unaware, 43-year-old MASADA is mainly considered a deathmatch wrestler despite having trained at the same school as Bryan Danielson, Brian Kendrick, and Paul London. Therefore, while Mahal’s lawyers’ requests seem reasonable, a standard wrestling match certainly wouldn’t meet fans’ expectations, so it’s easy to understand why both MASADA and fans in attendance were so disappointed.
