FMW and ECW legend Sabu recently made headlines after he no-showed his own induction into the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame. At the time, he was heavily criticized for this, but it was at least later confirmed he had returned his deposit. And now, during a recent interview with Steve Fall, the opinionated hardcore icon has commented on both Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis, calling them “scumbags,” although he would give WWE’s former owner some credit for making some wrestlers rich.
“Vince is a scumbag. I knew that, but he made a lot of guys rich. I give him credit for that, but he’s a scumbag. So is Johnny Ace.”
SabuWhen news first broke that the duo had been involved in inappropriate activities with women, WWE would quickly get rid of Laurinaitis. However, McMahon would simply retire and seemingly got to go out on his own terms. Yet, he would only stay away for a short time and subsequently wormed his way back into the company that he made a global brand. Still, once Janel Grant’s lawsuit fully exposed the alleged details of their misconduct, McMahon would quit in disgrace, and Laurinaitis’ lawyer would try to pin the blame solely on McMahon, claiming the former wrestler was also a victim.
