Chicago is considered a pro wrestling hotbed, with both WWE, AEW, and TNA regularly running shows in and around the city. Therefore, it would be thought that wrestlers would love the opportunity to wrestle in front of such passionate fans. However, it appears that isn’t the case for Charlotte Flair, as during an interview with Games With Names, she called the city “The worst wrestling city in the world,” and when pushed for a reason, stated, “They know what’s wrong with them.”
While Charlotte wouldn’t go into details on why she isn’t a fan of Chicago crowds, her last appearance at the Allstate Arena likely plays a part. This is because her segment with Tiffany Stratton, which included the now-infamous “Is that why Kaiser’s in my DMs?” line, saw her booed out of the building despite being a babyface. Subsequently, Flair would acknowledge this herself via social media, mockingly saying on X, “I should have NEVER called the Chicago fans smart. I sincerely apologize.”
