Zak Zodiac Comments On His Absence From AEW

While AEW already had a full roster, Tony Khan would find space for  Saraya’s brother Zak Zodiac last year, and it appeared he was going to get every opportunity to be a star alongside his sister. However, he hasn’t wrestled for either AEW or their sister promotion, ROH, in several months, leaving many fans speculating about his status. And now, to put minds at ease, he has confirmed on X that while a health issue was keeping him from the ring, he has patiently been waiting to return since August.

33-year-old Zodiac, real name Zak Bevis, began wrestling at the age of just ten for his family’s wrestling promotion, the World Association of Wrestling. Subsequently, he became a regular for the small independent company and also competed for various promotions around the UK. His biggest career match to date would then come in 2011 when he wrestled Big Show on SmackDown as part of a three-on-one handicap match. Yet, despite receiving a total of six WWE tryouts over the years, he remained unsigned until Khan decided to give him a chance to prove himself in the big leagues.
