AEW star Harley Cameron has revealed on Instagram that she came incredibly close to landing the coveted lead role of Nikki in the breakout horror hit Obsession. The multi-talented performer shared her passionate audition tape on the platform, which showcased her powerful take on a key diner scene. Cameron revealed that, although Inde Navarrette would beat her for the part, she was grateful to director Curry Barker for the opportunity and expressed pride in reaching the final round.

Obsession has emerged as one of 2026’s biggest indie success stories. Produced on a modest budget of roughly $1M, the supernatural horror film, directed by Curry Barker, premiered at TIFF 2025, sold for $15M, and has since exploded at the box office, grossing over $200 million worldwide as a Gen Z phenomenon. And while Cameron would have undoubtedly been great in the leading role, Inde Navarrette delivered a star-making performance as Nikki, earning widespread acclaim for her chilling, tragic, and unhinged transformation.
