TNA has officially announced on social media the return of X-Division legend Amazing Red for Slammiversary 2026. The high-flying three-time X-Division Champion, who last competed in the promotion in 2011, will make his long-awaited comeback at the June 28 pay-per-view event in Boston’s Agganis Arena. While largely out of the mainstream spotlight in recent years, the 44-year-old Red, whose real name is Jonathan Figueroa, remains heavily involved in Master P’s House of Glory, where he runs day-to-day operations and the wrestling school.
44-year-old Red emerged as one of TNA’s most influential X-Division pioneers after debuting in 2002. The 5’6” Brooklyn high-flyer brought explosive and innovative maneuvers that helped define the division’s no limits identity. He is a three-time champion with memorable reigns, including a standout 106-day run in 2009. Additionally, Red also captured the NWA World Tag Team gold alongside Jerry Lynn. Despite injuries that limited his career and prevented him from reaching the absolute highest level, his creativity and style have inspired many modern stars, including AEW talents like Will Ospreay and Ricochet.
