Earlier in the week, Jimmy Uso was arrested for DUI in Pensacola, Florida. He was pulled over for running a red light and speeding. Once pulled over, police could smell alcohol on him, and he was noticeably swaying when standing. He’d take two breathalyzer tests and was more than double the legal limit. It was wondered what this meant for his WWE career as he has been troubled by issues stemming from drunken behavior over the years. However, he was prominently featured on SmackDown, so his spot seems secure.
While many fans have been outspoken at his irresponsible behavior, a small but vocal section has taken aim at Jimmy’s wife of seven years, fellow WWE wrestler Naomi. Some blame her for his recklessness, which has prompted her to delete her Twitter account following a torrent of abuse, including one troll requesting she takes her own life. Other talents would go on to tweet their support for Naomi, including Zelina Vega, Cedric Alexander, and Mia Yim.
It’s depressing that social media brings out the worst in some people, and it doesn’t take long for anyone using Twitter to encounter uninformed and hateful tweets. Over the past few years, Seth Rollins, Kylie Rae, Scott Hall, Mick Foley, Maruo Ranallo, The Young Bucks, and Brandi Rhodes have joined Naomi in deciding to leave Twitter, although some have since returned.
