WWE Edits Out CM Punk Reference From Seth Rollins Promo

WWE Edits Out CM Punk Reference From Seth Rollins Promo

Dave Meltzer reported on his post-Raw audio show that Vince McMahon was furious with Seth Rollins for making reference to CM Punk during his promo on Monday.

McMahon doesn’t want to build up fan’s hopes for something that isn’t going to happen, and the reference could be interpreted by fans as starting something between Rollins and Punk.

For those who missed it, during CM Punk chants, Rollins said:

“Hey look, guys, I tried to get him here, I’m sorry, he didn’t want to show up. He wants to sit behind a desk in Los Angeles and talk about a change he’s too afraid to make himself.”

It would seem that Meltzer is spot on with his claims because WWE has edited that out of the YouTube video of the segment as you can see below.

CM Punk chants never really went away, and with him joining “WWE Backstage” they are bound to become even more prominent, especially after Rollins drawing attention to them.
