Samoa Joe wasn’t the only wrestler written off AEW television during All In, as Will Ospreay would also leave on a stretcher after a beatdown by the Death Riders during the main event. And it has now been reported by Fightful Select that, like in the case with Joe, it has been done to give Ospreay some time off. However, while Joe takes a few weeks away to promote “Twisted Metal,” the British star needs some time off to heal, having been working with injuries.
32-year-old Ospreay first began wrestling for AEW in 2022 due to the promotion’s working relationship with New Japan. Subsequently, he would frequently put on show-stealing matches, leaving most to assume that Tony Khan would do whatever it took to sign him when the opportunity arose. Yet while it wouldn’t be until 2024 when he officially joined the AEW roster full-time, Tony Khan has wasted no time when it comes to booking dream matches as the British wrestler has already faced Bryan Danielson, Konosuke Takeshita, Swerve Strickland, MJF, and even The Young Bucks on pay-per-view
