This confirmed that the powerhouse AEW star will be named “Fang,” while fellow AEW wrestler Kamille will be going by the name “Hurricane.” Hosted by WWE’s The Miz, the show is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on April 17, with contenders battling for a $100,000 prize.
American Gladiators burst onto TV screens in September 1989 as a syndicated show created by Johnny Ferraro and Dan Carr. The concept was inspired by ancient Roman spectacles but modernized for average contestants facing muscular “Gladiators” in events like Powerball, Joust, and Assault for seven seasons until 1996, featuring spandex outfits and names like Nitro, Malibu, and Zap.
