Update On Tammy Sytch Appealing Her DUI Manslaughter Sentence

Three weeks ago, having previously pleaded no contest regarding the DUI manslaughter death of 75-year-old Julian Lasseter in March 2022, Tammy Sytch was sentenced to 17 years in prison with 8 years probation. However, she did have 30 days to appeal, and PWInsider.com has now reported that her public defender did this on December 20th. Significantly, it should be noted that the former WWE star isn’t challenging her guilt but the amount of time she needs to serve.

51-year-old Sytch, who is best known to wrestling fans for her time as Sunny in WWE, has been incarcerated since May 2022 and looks set for a lengthy prison spell regardless of how her appeal goes. Additionally, she also has multiple ongoing civil suits hanging over her head, stemming from the tragic incident, although given her current situation, they are likely the least of her worries at present.
