UFC Star Cain Velasquez Shows Off His Lucha Moves At AAA Show In New York (w/Videos)

Former two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez best known to wrestling fans as the man that beat Brock Lesnar at UFC 121 began pro wrestling training WWE Performance Center in 2018. Since then he made his in-ring debut with AAA at Triplemanía XXVII on On August 3rd, 2019 in 6 man trios match. He teamed with Cody Rhodes and Psycho Clown beating Texano Jr, Taurus, and Killer Kross.

Velasquez’s wore a luchador mask in the match and picked up the victory for his team by submitting Texano, Jr. with a Kimura lock and his performance generated a lot of buzz amongst fans.

Well, last night at AAA’s “Lucha Invades NY” event he vowed the fans in attendance with moves nobody with his experience level should have any right to do. You can view the highlights below, and all I can say is WOW! the full show and match is available on Fite.tv.

His short pro wrestling career has already caught the attention of New Japan who had informal conversations with him last month. Velasquez though has said he considers pro wrestling to be fun, but he still thinks he has unfinished business in MMA. Currently he is #8 in official UFC heavyweight rankings with 3 fights left on his UFC deal. You’d think once his MMA career does come to an end, he would have a run in a major wrestling company. A rematch against Brock Lesnar in a WWE ring would be printing money.
