Tony Khan Addresses Anthony Henry’s Release & Shares Positive Update

Earlier this week, Tony Khan received a great idea of criticism from fans after AEW released several talents. And while nobody was happy to see anyone cut, the fact Anthony Henry is currently recovering from a broken jaw is what caused the most unrest on social media. However, while speaking on the latest ROH media call, ahead of Supercard of Honor, Khan revealed that having thought it over, Henry will be returning once medically cleared. Whether this was simply a change of heart for Khan or he listened to fan feedback remains unknown, but it is positive news regardless.

40-year-old Henry began wrestling in 2002 and spent many years on the indies before achieving his dream of signing with WWE in 2021. From there, he would go on to debut for the company with the ring name Asher Hale on NXT before becoming used on 205 Live. Yet he ended up being released later that same year, but he quickly rebounded by joining AEW, where he impressed in his debut against Eddie Kingston.
