Last year Tiffany Stratton caused outrage on social media after sharing a short video on her Instagram Stories, which showed her hitting Jade Cargill along with a voice saying, “black b*tch.” This would almost immediately see her accused of racism, and Stratton quickly deleted the video, subsequently claiming she hadn’t listened to the audio before sharing.

However, the current WWE Women’s Champion is now involved in a second racism controversy after a video went viral on Sunday night, where, after being taunted by a black fan, she confidently responds, “watch your mouth, boy.” For those unaware, many consider the term “boy” to be a disparaging term for black men as it implies a subservient status, and has been used historically to demean.

The 26-year-old former bodybuilder and gymnast broke into the wrestling business back in 2021, initially training with Greg Gagne, the son of the legendary AWA promoter Verne Gagne, before signing with WWE. From there, she was initially featured on WWE’s developmental brand NXT. Yet thanks to her charisma, athleticism, and good looks, she was fast-tracked to the main roster and now looks set to be a massive star, having already achieved a WrestleMania victory over Charlotte Flair.
