While it was believed that WWE’s Hall of Fame Class of 2025 was already completed, the company has unexpectedly announced on social media that Kamala, Dory Funk Sr., and Ivan Koloff are being added to their Legacy wing. This will see them join legendary names like Frank Gotch, George Hackenschmidt, Lou Thesz, Haystacks Calhoun, Luna Vachon, and Bruiser Brody.
WWE’s Legacy wing has previously been criticized, as some suspected it was being used as a way to induct talents that WWE management didn’t see as marketable to modern-day fans. Additional family members of those previously inducted via this method revealed WWE never made them aware ahead of time, and therefore, they couldn’t participate. Thus, when the company quietly retired the wing in 2021, few were shocked, although clearly in a post-Vince McMahon world, WWE wants to do things the right way, and announcing those being inducted ahead of time is already a positive start.
