The Rock Discusses The Possibility Of Wrestling Roman Reigns (w/Video)

The Rock’s last match was against John Cena 7 years ago at WrestleMania 29 (unless you count his six-second win over Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32), and it was believed his in-ring days were behind him. He tore two tendons in his pelvis in the Cena match, and it caused him issues with his filming schedule and movie insurance cost increases.

So it was somewhat of a surprise that during a Q&A session on Instagram Live last night, he discussed the possibility of wrestling Roman Reigns and didn’t just instantly dismiss it. He would say:

Rock Roman Reigns, is it possible? I think anything is possible, sure, of course, I’m always open, and you know that’s the cool thing about professional wrestling, there is an adaptability to wrestling, and you never say never in the world of pro wrestling, and you never say never to Vince McMahon, who has been one of my mentors in the business for a very very long time. Very, very close friend and confidant. You never say no. I think for something like that to happen, I think the venue would have to be right. I think the business model would have be right. But I’m very close with Roman, that’s family to me, so we’ll see.The Rock
