GoFundMe Launched For Indie Wrestler Sammy Riot

Indie wrestler Sammy Riot recently suffered a severe foot and ankle injury during a live event, leaving him facing multiple surgeries and a lengthy recovery that prevents him from working. With mounting medical bills and living expenses piling up for him and his wife, his mother, Rebecca Holifield, launched a GoFundMe to help cover essential costs during this challenging time. As of writing, the campaign has raised just $167 of its $7,500 goal, so any donation, no matter the size, would likely be greatly appreciated.

My son has always been passionate about wrestling, and it’s been his dream for as long as I can remember. Two weeks ago, while working a show, he suffered a severe injury to his foot and ankle. He’s already had one surgery and faces another … the medical bills are piling up, and he can’t return to the ring anytime soon.– Rebecca Holifield

A co-owner of Mississippi’s Lost Art of Wrestling, Sammy Riot (real name Samuel Rials) has risen from pre-show matches to main-event status through sheer passion and high-energy performances that have won over Gulf Coast fans. Beyond the ring, he uses wrestling as a platform for positive change, delivering faith-based demonstrations at schools and churches. Though currently sidelined, his journey continues to inspire perseverance and dedication.
