Following the news that some talents were departing WWE at the expiration of their contracts, speculation commenced that The Miz would be the next big name to exit the company. And while this has since been debunked, The Miz has himself acknowledged the claim via an Instagram video, downplaying the online talk by saying “WWE and I are in very good standing.”
44-year-old Miz, real name Mike Mizanin, has been under contract with WWE since 2004 and on the main roster full-time since 2006. This makes him the third longest continuously unemployed in-ring talent, behind only John Cena and Randy Orton. Therefore, when the day comes that he does leave the company, it will be a sad day for many fans, it appears, based on The Miz’s comment, it won’t be anytime soon.
