And now, in somewhat surprising news, it has been reported by DallasNews.com that the 56-year-old actually signed a six-year contract to remain part of the company, with it noted that, in addition to wrestling, he also has the role of a coach and brand ambassador.
Rhodes broke into the business in 1988, and thanks to being the son of Dusty Rhodes, the young performer received the opportunity to work for WCW, All Japan, and WWE during his rookie years. Yet, despite nepotism undoubtedly being a significant factor in pro wrestling, he would go on to prove he more than deserved his spot and ultimately cemented his legacy in the business as Goldust, portraying the iconic character on and off in WWE between 1996 and 2018.
