Sheamus Shows Off His Painful-Looking Back Following Clash In Paris

Sheamus vs. Rusev’s feud-ending Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook match stole the show at Clash In Paris, managing to surpass fans’ hardcore expectations. And now showing that Rusev didn’t hold back during the hard-hitting bout, Sheamus has shared a photograph on X of his battered back, which is covered in painful-looking welts. Whether this will see the Irish Star miss time from the ring to recuperate is unclear, although he was absent from this week’s episode of Raw.

47-year-old Sheamus began training to be a wrestler in 2002 at the Monster Factory, and after dealing with a severe neck injury that kept him out of action for some time, he made his way to WWE’s developmental territory FCW in 2007. Two years later, he would wrestle on WWE television as part of their ECW brand, and with the company craving new stars, he was fast-tracked to Raw, famously defeating John Cena for the WWE Championship just 166 days after his WWE debut. This would arguably be his career highlight, although he would go on to win the King of the Ring tournament in 2010, the Royal Rumble match in 2012, and the Money in the Bank ladder match in 2015.
