Raven returned to WCW in 1997, having reinvented himself in ECW, and while he was given a push, he was always far from being the main eventer. Therefore, when he appeared on the front cover of WCW/nWo Revenge for the Nintendo 64 game console alongside Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, and Kevin Nash, many fans were surprised, given his status in the company. And now, while being interviewed by the Ten Count YouTube channel, Raen revealed that the simple reason was that the person in charge of doing the game was one of his fans.
“That was also a fluke. That was because the guy who created the game I was one of his favorite wrestlers, so he put me on the game. Yeah, and so all the boys, like you know, the guys I used to hang out with, like Jericho and Kanyon and Konnan and Disco, they were like, ‘how’d you get on the game? Who’d you blow?'”
RavenRaven actually decided to depart WCW himself after being unhappy with how he was being used. This would happen after Eric Bischoff offered anyone who wanted their release that option. However, Bischoff would include a clause that prevented him from going directly to WWE, and therefore, he returned to ECW for a year before making his WWE re-debut at Unforgiven in 2000 by hitting Jerry Lawler with a DDT during his match with Tazz.
