Mika Rotunda Provides Update On Barry Windham After He Suffered Heart Attack

Earlier this week, Mika Rotunda, the niece of Barry Windham, launched a GoFundMe for her legendary uncle to raise $200,000 after the 62-year-old suffered what she described as a “massive heart attack.” Thankfully though, based on her latest tweet, he appears to be doing much better as he is out of ICU and now able to stand and speak. And while his GoFundMe still has some way to go to reach its target, it is currently at a very promising £29,553 thanks to contributions from names like Cody Rhodes, DDP, JBL, Scott D’Amore, and Ricky Steamboat.

For those unknowing, Windham is the son of Blackjack Mulligan and best known for his time in the NWA and WCW, where he was part of the Four Horsemen and held the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship in 1993. He also had numerous short runs in WWE and held the promotions tag championship twice with his brother-in-law Mike Rotunda, who is Bray Wyatt’s father.

Yet, despite so much success, he is still considered by many old-school fans as being someone that never achieved their full potential, seemingly due to switching promotions so frequently. Nevertheless, he did receive recognition when inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 as part of the Four Horsemen alongside Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and J. J. Dillon.
