Earlier this week, social media began speculating that The Beast Mortos, formerly known as Black Taurus, was in a relationship with fellow AEW talent Mercedes Moné after he shared a photograph of them together. Subsequently, fans began digging, and based on the clothes being worn, it was revealed that the photo was likely taken in early May. And now, with the photo having gone viral, TMZ has reached out directly to the former WWE star for confirmation, being told by Moné that it’s “a real beauty and the beast situation.”
Last year, news broke that Moné was divorcing her husband of eight years, Sarath Ton, which shocked fans at the time. However, it was later confirmed that they actually separated in December 2020 and chose to keep this information private, due to concerns that Vince McMahon would turn it into a storyline. This is because, at the time, Moné was involved in an angle that included Reggie, and she suspects her former boss would have seen this as an opportunity to put them together romantically, which she wouldn’t have been comfortable with.
