Dominating the headlines in both the worlds of pro wrestling and MMA has been the incident at Rikishi’s KnokX Pro, where Raja Jackson, a trained fighter, viciously beat army veteran Syko Stu Smith unconscious. And while Smith did instigate things earlier in the day by hitting Jackson with a can, to say the son of Rampage Jackson overreacted would be an understatement.
Still, some people have actually backed Jackson, and seemingly among them is WWE Hall of Fame member Mark Henry, who has told TMZ, “You gotta be careful with who you’re messing with,” and noted that this is a bad look for Smith, because “now we know you can’t fight.”
Concerning Henry’s comment about losing your job if you lost a fight in the past, this is likely in reference to Bill Watts, who famously told wrestlers that they would get fired if they got into a bar or street fight with a fan and lost. However, while it has been claimed that this is why Bob Orton Jr. only had a short run in Mid-South, having been jumped and beaten up by several guys, Erik Watts, the son of Bill Watts, has stated that nobody was ever really fired for this reason.
