Kevin Kelly Reveals He Is Taking Legal Action Following His AEW Firing

In March, it was reported that AEW had fired Kevin Kelly following a series of posts he had made on X. In these, he was venting his frustration about how he was being used and seemingly accused Ian Riccaboni of ruining his career after his fellow commentator had previously claimed he was a QAnon conspiracy believer. And now Kelly has disclosed while responding to fans on X that he is taking legal action, although he didn’t specify if it was against AEW, Riccaboni, or both.

“Thats what Ian Riccaboni did to me. Can’t wait for it all to come out in court soon.”

“As soon as my lawyer gets going. Two of them, actually. Lawyers. I never had a lawyer before, let alone two.”

56-year-old Kelly, whose real name is Kevin Foote, made his name in WWE after signing with the company in 1996. Initially, he worked as a backstage interviewer before becoming a commentator, although due to budget cuts, he was released in 2003. Since then, he has commentated for MLW, ROH, and New Japan before signing with AEW last summer to become part of the Collision announce team.
