X-Division Legend & Controversial Icon To Be Inducted Into The TNA Hall Of Fame

TNA acknowledged its rich legacy at Slammiversary 2026 by announcing two new inductions into the 2026 Hall of Fame class. First was X-Division pioneer Amazing Red, a three-time champion whose revolutionary high-flying style helped define the division, who received an emotional surprise induction announcement immediately following his thrilling Ultimate X match. Later in the evening, Mike Santana paid an emotional tribute to his mentor Konnan, announcing that he will also be honored at Bound for Glory 2026.

While Red’s induction was long expected, Konnan’s inclusion raised some eyebrows due to his complicated history with the company. A foundational figure who wrestled, managed top stars, influenced creative direction, and forged key partnerships with AAA, Konnan earned his spot. However, his 2008 racial discrimination lawsuit against TNA created notable tension at the time. Still, under new management and with Konnan now in poor health after having both legs amputated, many view this as a classy and respectful move by TNA.
