On the December 22, 2023, episode of SmackDown, Karrion Kross and Hisvalet featured in a vignette teasing a new stable. Subsequently, it would be revealed the other members were the Authors of Pain and their long-term manager, Paul Ellering. And now, having beaten down Bobby Lashley’s group last week, the Kross faction would reveal their name during this week’s SmackDown to be “The Final Testament.” A video of this can be viewed below.
38-year-old Kross signed with WWE for the first time in 2020 and has had many ups and downs during his time with them. One highlight was winning the NXT Championship for the first time from Keith Lee in only his seventh match on the brand. However, his most significant low would come when he, along with his wife, Scarlett, were released. Still, he has a supporter in Triple H who brought him back once he gained control of creative and talent relations, and seemingly, he is now being allowed to fulfill the potential he has previously demonstrated.
