Ever since he became a WWE regular, fans and fellow wrestlers have made fun of JD McDonagh, with Cody Rhodes famously likening him to a Funko Pop. And while it was thought McDonagh saw the funny side of this, it appears he may have reached his limit this week.
This is because after Corey Graves compared the Irish wrestler to a Minecraft character on commentary, McDonagh has fired back on Instagram, saying, “It’s also not my fault @WWEGraves gets relegated every time @PatMcAfeeShow is available on a Monday.”
For those unaware, this response is particularly savage as earlier this year Graves took X to vent his frustration at being demoted from Raw to NXT, claiming management didn’t consider him famous enough for the Netflix era. This subsequently saw Graves miss that week’s episode of NXT, and there was speculation he was on the verge of quitting the company over losing his full-time spot to Pat McAfee. However, cooler heads prevailed, and Graves returned to work the following week.
