GoFundMe Launched for Second-Generation Wrestler Following Emergency Surgery

Earlier this week, Colby Corino, the son of former ECW original Steve Corino, took to X to request prayers for an unspecified reason. However, it was later clarified that after he attended the hospital in pain, he had to undergo emergency surgery on both his neck and back.

Still, while his wrestling career may sadly be over, he has returned to X to note that his only desire at present is “to be able to pick up my son again.” And now, in an attempt to help the second-generation wrestler and his family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe has been launched towards a goal of $20,000.

At one time, it appeared 28-year-old Corino was set to become a WWE talent after he was offered a developmental contract by the company his father currently works for as a coach. Yet, WWE retracted its offer after discovering something in his background checks. Precisely what was uncovered remains unclear, although it is public knowledge that in the past he was arrested for illegal possession of a controlled substance as well as theft. Still, he had turned his life around since then, and therefore WWE’s decision likely came as a crushing blow.
