The Attitude Era was a wild time for professional wrestling, featuring many memorable moments that, almost three decades on, haven’t aged well. Among those that likely wouldn’t be considered acceptable today was when a woman flashed her breasts following encouragement from Triple H, which still gets posted online to this day. Yet while many believe the attention-seeking exhibitionist was a plant, and the interaction was thoroughly planned, it has gone down as one of the clips that defined WWE in the late 90s.
And now, Instagram user @WaneedaWrestling has taken to the social media platform to ask whether the woman she spotted at last month’s Wrestlepalooza was the same lady. This has subsequently sparked much debate, with many leaning towards her being so, although at this point, it seems only the unidentified woman can verify.
It’s hard to imagine now, but at one time, WWE’s future appeared bleak, with fans opting to watch WCW, where Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Randy Savage, and Sting were considered bigger names than most of Vince McMahon’s roster. However, in part thanks to ECW proving that wrestling fans wanted a more adult-oriented product, McMahon opted to embrace beer-soaked brawls, profanity, and plenty of sexual innuendo, which restored WWE as number one and made Steve Austin, The Rock, and DX household names.
