Dr. Britt Baker has been absent from AEW television since November 2024, and while there has been plenty of speculation as to why, Tony Khan would say during the All In pre-show media call, “I’ve never had a conversation about Britt departing AEW.” Still rumors persist, and now after one fan replied to her latest Instagram photo drop saying she looks to be retired, she has seemingly denied this by firing back, rhetorically asking, “Because I’m at the beach…. In Florida… where I live?”
At one time, it appeared 34-year-old Baker was going to be the long-term face of AEW’s women’s division, having built up a large fanbase despite being a heel. However, due to missing a significant amount of time due to a combination of injury, suspension, and suffering a mini-stroke, she lost her momentum and was surpassed in status by both Mercedes Moné and Toni Storm. Still, based on her social media activity, it appears she is living her best life and ready to return to the ring if and when AEW reaches out.
