Diamond Dallas Page is known for taking his health seriously and is likely the fittest 69-year-old involved in the wrestling business. However, he has now revealed on X that he was recently hospitalized due to an irregular heartbeat, which meant his heart wasn’t pumping blood effectively. Thankfully, he appears to be fine now, although he will be having a cardio ablation next month, which is considered a minimally invasive surgical procedure.
Page stepped away from being a regular performer on television after his TNA run in 2005 and was considered retired by 2011. He would, though, turn back the clock to wrestle for WWE in the 2015 Royal Rumble and Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2016. Still, his final match would actually come in AEW, as during their 2020 Bash At The Beach-themed episode of Dynamite, he teamed with Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall against MJF, The Butcher, and The Blade. And while Page’s team wasn’t victorious, he would still go out on a high note thanks to performing a dive from the top rope onto the outside.
