Danhausen has sent his followers into a frenzy by posting cryptic “freedom”-themed tweets the day before WWE’s Elimination Chamber premium live event. With his AEW contract reportedly expiring this month, many believe he is WWE-bound, with fans linking him to WWE’s “mystery crate” angle, with betting odds favoring making him the favorite to be inside. As of writing, Danhausen remains on AEW’s roster page, but that could change at any time.
35-year-old Danhausen debuted in 2013 after training at the House of Truth school, and after time on the indies, he found his way to ROH, where his eccentric, curse-casting “Very Nice, Very Evil” persona exploded in popularity. Subsequently, he signed with AEW in January 2022, though his television appearances were limited, with his last match for the brand coming in December 2023. Still, he has kept himself busy on the indies and would likely become a beloved performer in WWE, where bizarre characters like Mr. Iguana and The Boogeyman have proven to be big hits.
