Chris Jericho Shares His Feelings On Kevin Owens

Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens had one of the most memorable runs together in recent memory when the duo were together in the WWE. The pair became one of the company’s top attractions during 2016-’17, and they famously split up during the highly popular Festival of Friendship segment.

They would later square off against one another at Wrestlemania 33, and Jericho still holds that run in high regard. So much so, that the future WWE Hall Of Famer even suggested that should he choose to accept induction into the company’s Hall, Owens would be a good choice to put him in.

Jericho talked about working with Owens on the recent fifth installment of his Rock ’N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea which was recorded and released as the latest episode of Talk Is Jericho

“I think my last run in WWE was a lot of fun with Kevin Owens,” Jericho said. “I think it was the best angle on the show, and it went for about six months or eight months. And the culmination of it was at Wrestlemania where we were in the second match on the show.”

The mention of where their match was on the card drew boos from the cruise audience. “The original plan was for us to headline for the WWE title, but then things change, which is fine,” Jericho continued. “When you know a little bit about wrestling, as you guys do, the most important matches on the show are the last match and the first match. ‘Cause you want to kick it off on a high note, and you want people to get into it right away. And your last match is obviously your main event. The semi-main event right before the last match is (also) important, but when you’re on second, that’s kind of a real down position in my opinion.”

Jericho went on to say that he doesn’t give retirement much thought, and he’s not particularly into the idea of hall of fames, whether it be for wrestling or for rock ’n’ roll.

He continued: “We had this really great chemistry, and I loved working with (Kevin Owens), as a partner, as opponents, too. But we had such great chemistry, and I learned a lot from him too. And (Owens is) just a legit super, super nice guy. A great sense of humor, and I really enjoyed his company, so I think as of right now that would be great guy to do that if I decide to show up (to a WWE Hall Of Fame induction).”
