Chris Jericho did a live Q&A during the recent fifth installment of his Rock & Wrestling Rager At Sea. Hosted by RJ City, the discussion covered a variety of topics including when he might retire, working with Kevin Owens and Kenny Omega, The List and much more. The session was recorded and released as the latest episode of Talk Is Jericho.
The topic of the WWE Hall Of Fame also came up. Jericho’s lengthy and accolade-filled career would certainly put him on the fast track to being inducted, but he revealed that at the moment, he doesn’t much interest in it.
“What is a Hall Of Fame to begin with?” he said. “Honestly, who gives a sh*tt? It really doesn’t mean anything to me. I’m huge into rock and roll, the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame is stupid, wrestling Hall Of Fames are stupid, it’s just like whatever.”
Jericho did cite the infamous move pulled by the Sex Pistols when they were inducted into the Rock Hall. The band didn’t show up and instead sent the Hall a nasty note instead. Singer Johnny Rotten wrote: “Next to the SEX-PISTOLS rock and roll and that hall of fame is a p*ss stain.” Guns ’N’ Roses singer Axl Rose also famously didn’t show up for their induction, and the singer took it a step further by demanding the Rock Hall not even mention his name.
That “would be a good one,” Jericho said of possibly using the idea.
