Carlito’s status has been a hot topic since he made his WWE return during the Royal Rumble match last month and looked to be in perhaps the best shape of his life. He’d also wrestle on the following night’s Raw, teaming with Jeff Hardy defeating Elias and Jaxson Ryker. This made it look like a full-time return was likely. However, since then, the hs made no further appearances and is not believed to be in WWE’s future plans.
The former Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team Champion has now confirmed when speaking to Wrestling Inc that he hasn’t talked to AEW, but both Impact Wrestling and Billy Corgan’s NWA have talked to him about possibly coming in.
Carlito hasn’t worked for a major promotion since departing WWE back in 2010. Instead, he worked for his father’s promotion in Puerto Rico and wrestling on independent shows. His return received a lot of buzz online, and fans were happy t see him, so if a promotion can come to an agreement with him, they’ll likely see an initial spike in attention.
