While AEW already has a full roster, spots are always available due to the need to keep their three weekly television shows and Ring of Honor fresh. And now it has been confirmed by those in attendance at last night’s Dynamite taping that Saraya’s brother Zac Zodiac competed against Peter Avalon in a dark match. Whether this was an official tryout for the British wrestler isn’t known, but the fact he was victorious is a positive sign the company sees potential in him.
32-year-old Zodiac, real name Zak Bevis, began wrestling at the age of just ten for his family’s wrestling promotion, the World Association of Wrestling. He would go on to become a regular for the small independent company but has also competed for various promotions around the UK. His biggest career match to date would take place in 2011 when he wrestled Big Show on SmackDown as part of a three-on-one handicap match. However, despite receiving six WWE tryouts over the years, he has remained unsigned.
