Brooke Hogan was estranged from her father, the legendary Hulk Hogan, at the time of his death, with it understood they hadn’t spoken since 2023. According to Brooke, she decided to distance herself from her entire family due to her “own journey to healing and happiness.”
And while it’s therefore believed that the two-time WWE Hall of Famer never got to meet his grandchildren, Oliver and Molly, TMZ has now reported that Brooke still paid homage to her father when naming Molly by giving her daughter the middle name “Gene,” which was Hulk’s real-life middle name.
At one time, 37-year-old Brooke looked destined for stardom herself, having pursued both a singing and acting career, which her father supported financially and in terms of publicity. However, after deciding to end contact with her parents, Brooke would also step away from the spotlight and instead launch her own design company, BB Designs by Brooke. Additionally, she would marry former NHL player Steven Oleksy in 2022, and they would start their own family together three years later.
